Exclusive Course Offerings for 2026
Below is the list of track descriptions to help you navigate your 2026 schedule.
*Your registration includes all course offerings except the Rectifier Course, which requires a separate registration.
Basic Section
This section will provide a structured course designed to assist in the preparation for the Cathodic Protection Tester Certification test. A voluntary test will be offered at the conclusion of the course.
This section will discuss rectifiers, galvanic and impressed current anode systems, and both DC and AC interference. A voluntary test will be offered after the course.
Intermediate Section
Advanced Section
This section will present advanced techniques, materials, and design. A voluntary test will be offered at the conclusion of the course.
This course is designed for engineers, operators, field laborers, and supervisors that want a basic understanding of the concepts of corrosion. Basic fundamentals and hands-on training will be covered. A voluntary test will be offered at the conclusion of the course.
Practical Applications of Corrosion Control
Pipeline Coatings Section
This section will address Surface preparation and coating fundamentals, inspection techniques in the field and coating mills, knowledge of proper coating selection, and hands-on field application procedures.
Hands On Display & Showcase
This will be an open forum with multiple stations. Several knowledgeable industry professionals will be available to demonstrate, answer questions, and help students use equipment at each station.
Rectifier Course
Corrosion technicians can learn about the fundamentals of troubleshooting, maintenance, and operation of rectifiers. In the class, students will be able to work physically with the equipment.
*Separate Registration Required.
Corrosion Panel
Join us for conversations hosted by experts from key areas of the corrosion industry. These specialists are ready to answer questions on topics ranging across all areas of corrosion, including AC corrosion, internal corrosion, coatings, pipeline integrity, government regulations, and corrosion construction practices.
Interference and Special Topics
This section will present topics related to interference during the first day, with a heavy focus on AC interference. These topics will range from case studies, delving into the mechanisms and causes of interference, issues to mitigation efforts looking at the current trends in the industry. The second day of this section will be general special topics addressing current issues, regulatory requirements, or potential new innovations within the cathodic protection industry
Basic Pipeline Integrity Management
This section provides an overview of what integrity management is and how someone can comply with the basic requirements that are outline in 49 CFR 192 Subpart O. Students taking part in this section may have experience in the pipeline industry, but will have limited experience in managing a pipeline integrity program.
Advanced Pipeline Integrity Management
This section focuses on the more complex areas of integrity management and how to comply with 49 CFR 192 Subpart O, including topics on new regulations related to transmission pipelines. Students taking part in this section should have experience with integrity management and understand key concepts of an integrity program.
Internal Corrosion Section
This section will present topics related to internal corrosion, including an overview of how it is caused, programs that can be created to monitor for internal corrosion, and mitigations that can be put into place to prevent additional internal corrosion. Students taking this course should have a basic understanding of the key concepts about corrosion.
